A weekend-long event with Zen
Teachings & Meditation with Roshi of Prajna Zendo, Art Exhibit
of Buddhist Sculptures, Taiko performances, Traditional Japanese
dancing
The Awakening Museum transformed
into a Zen meditation space prepared by Roshi
of Prajna Zendo located in Lamy NM, and Buddhist practitioner
and artist, Linda K Strong with a traditional Zen altar and
seated meditation area. Open daily to the public for Zen meditation
during regular museum hours for the duration of the weekend
in addition to the scheduled Zen sessions.
Taiko drum performance with
Smokin' Bachi Taiko Ensemble; Art exhibition of cast bronze
Buddhas by Linda K Strong; traditional Japanese dances; sushi
catered by Shoko Cafe.
Sophia Conversation
Series at The Awakening
Conversations between leading
artists, scientists, philosophers, writers, musicians, mystics,
and others whose lives are rooted in the marriage of intellect
and intuition. The conversations were moderated by Michelle
Gaugy with active audience participation in engaging and stimulating
conversation of new thoughts about the world around us and within
us.
